Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The position is 100% onsite at the client site.
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role collaborates with internal departments, plant operations, and corporate headquarters to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting. Additional responsibilities include supporting audits, tax filings, and driving process improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including cost allocations, variance analysis, and manufacturing cost trends for management decision-making.
- Perform month-end close activities such as journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations in accordance with the business unit close schedule.
- Reconcile account balances and bank statements with supporting documentation.
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers to ensure timely and accurate postings.
- Research and assist in aligning accounting procedures between U.S. GAAP and IFRS in coordination with Taiwan headquarters.
- Coordinate with the manager to file tax-related documents as required by the IRS.
- Process and review daily journal entries within strict time constraints.
- Prepare schedules and documentation for annual external audits and internal reviews.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
- Support inventory accounting, including cycle counts, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Assist with other projects and accounting-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English/Mandarin preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
